Bed Time Parade

We do our bed time routine of baths, stories, snacks, and good night prayers, hugs, and kisses. This sounds so simple, but it takes FOREVER. Tonight, Hank cries but goes right to sleep in his crib. Charlie lays down but begins negotiations. "I sleep in you bed?" "You sleep with me?" Marshall tucks him in and tells him good night.

About ten minutes later, I hear him playing in his room. I leave him alone because he wasn't hurting anything, and he was just quietly playing. Yes, he was disobeying, but I have to pick my battles and I'm exhausted. I finally go to check on him, and he meets me on the stairs.

I say, "Charlie, if you get out of bed again, you are going to have to give me your paci."
Without missing a beat, he pops his paci out, puts it in my hand, continues to walk right past me down the stairs. I guess I should have waited to give him the ultimatum until he was back in bed. Needless to say, he is back in bed but not very happy about it.

How many men . . . boys . . . babies . . . does it take to change a light bulb?

Mother's Day Picnic

We decided to get fried chicken and sides for lunch and have a picnic on the front porch. Charlie decided that our picnic was on the beach. We all pretended to be at the beach. It was a great day for a trip to the beach.

Hank had lots of fun at "the beach" too. He decided that he would feed himself. The only problem was getting the baby fork back before he injured himself or someone else. Watch the video clip to see Hank's latest feat.

What Fun!

Charlie and Kensington got so excited about the painting party. Kensington didn't even take time to get dressed first. They painted four times before the party and once after the party before going to bed.

Marshall was working on the sprinklers, so you know what happened next . . .

Hodges was excited about the party too. Come party time, he was not happy unless Granny held him in the midst of all of the action.

Charlie and Hank share willingly . . . for a few minutes.

Let's Party!

Aunt Darlene is getting MARRIED!
We had a bridal party for her this past Saturday. Everyone traveled to our house in Washington for a unique party. We all ate, opened presents, painted, ate, open presents, and painted. We had a great time.

Charlie came at the end of the party to enjoy a cupcake, but he and Hank went with the boys to play golf during the party!
