First Word (Maybe)

Hank is getting more and more independent every day. We have to make sure that the bathroom doors are closed. He loves to get in the shower, usually fully dressed as we are about to walk out the door. He is so happy! He is cutting teeth and occasionally has an allergy flare up, but all in all, he is doing great. He loves to play in the Little Tikes car. He can get in and out all by himself. He already likes the chalk and chalk board too. Maybe he is going to be an artist.

Charlie is a great big brother. He talks to Hank like he is two years old. He asks him, "How was you nap, Hank?" Hank is already coming up with words of his own. He can say, "Hey, o.k. and mo (more)." I wouldn't believe that he said, "mo" unless I heard it myself. He wanted more Froot Loops, lunged for the box, and said, "Mo!"

Team Work

Jesus Loves Me!

Charlie loves to sing. He knows all of the words, but he gets a little camera shy. We can't seem to get a picture or video with a clean face although I try very hard. Oh, well. Enjoy the music.

Playin' in the Dirt

"Mommy wants me to stay by the steps, so I won't eat anything. I don't want to stay, and she gave up. YEAH!!!"

"This is my fire hose. WOOO, WOOOO, WOOOO! Hear the sirens?"

We are playing farm. Charlie is going off on his tractor to get fruits and vegetables (a.k.a. weeds and grass.) He brings them back to me to prepare to eat. Yummy!

Tooth

Hank finally got his first tooth this week. Just like big brother Charlie, Hank waited until he was 8 and a half months old to start getting teeth. Hank is also sleeping through the night. This morning he was up at 5:30 ready to start his day. I was not so eager, but who can argue with a good night sleep.

A Happy Baby

Hank got tubes in yesterday morning. It was such a fast procedure. He was only gone for twenty minutes total. He came back ready to eat and watch t.v. He feels so much better. All day he just smiled, crawled, and got into everything! We are so happy that he feels better.

Sunny Days

The weather has been so nice the past few days that we just can't stay indoors. Hope you are enjoying the weather too.

Superman!

When Charlie was just six months old, Marshall bought these pajamas on clearance. I could not imagine my little baby wearing size 3t (they are a little big still.) I pulled them out of the closet last night while I was putting away clean laundry. Charlie took his pajamas off and switched them out for super hero pajamas. He gave his paci to Marshall because Marshall told him that Superman does not have a paci, but his alter ego Clark Kent does need a paci sometimes. Charlie said o.k. and popped his paci out until he went to bed.
Flying!
Superman used the big boy potty and got a lollipop.

Charlie and Hank Go on Vacation!

This past week Marshall had a really long and busy week at work. Charlie, Hank, and I decided to go visit Pappy, Gaga, and the whole Jonesboro crowd. While we were there, the men were working in Gaga's kitchen making it nice and big. Charlie felt like he was on vacation. Pappy took him to visit a fire station, watch a crane at the church, on a job to install a thermostat (he wore his safety goggles and hard hat), and much more. Hank thought that he had died and gone to heaven. He had lots of people to hold him and lots of things to investigate. Charlie and Kensington were virtually inseparable.  Every chance Gaga got she had Charlie at the playground. The fun never stopped . . .

Bath time with Kensington and Charlie.
"What are they going to do with that bucket of water?"

In true Georgia fashion, we had a snow storm on March 1st. Charlie loved the snow. We went to eat at Waffle House just as the snow was beginning to fall. Charlie stood up in the booth by the window and held his hands high in the air trying to catch and feel the snow. We all giggled including Charlie.
After nap time, Charlie wanted to play in the snow. It had already started to melt. After five minutes, he had enough and wanted to go inside to eat a lollipop. He said that the snow hurt his hands. We put mittens on him, but he had still had enough.

Of course, one week later the sun is shining and the temperature is in the 70's. One week hats, gloves, and coats and the next, shorts, tee shirts, and boat ride.

Hide and Seek
"Kensie, come find me."
"Here my come!"

A little fire truck at Chick-fil-A! "I want to ride it."

We visited Chick-fil-A headquarters and had lunch with Auntie Brittany. My favorite part were the cars, motorcycle, and air planes. Hank's favorite part was the banana pudding. YUMMY!

Wonder Woman

The ladies at the church office gave me food to feed the fish. They also gave me a bag of treats. I walked around and helped Pappy change light bulbs, and everyone put treats in my bag. The hearts were my favorite. Pappy also showed me a big crane that was helping the men work at the church.
"Fish, come eat my food."

After a very busy week, we came home Sunday night. But not before, Charlie went to Sunday School where Gaga and Pappy had flowers to plant, easel painting, red wiggler worms to observe, snack, stickers, toys, friends, singing, and a story.

But wait, there is more! Charlie and Hank went to play at Kensie and Hodges' house while we went to Financial Peace class. When we went to pick up our boys, we had a four month birthday party for Hodges. Keep up the hard work Hodges. We are all proud of you. The highlight of Charlie's visit to Ashley and Rich's house was the fast boat ride. Hank enjoyed the chocolate cake and strawberry shortcake. Thank you for a fun day Rich, Ashley, Kensie, Hodges, Mimi, and Grandad!
