Curious George

After the NAMI walk, we went to the EdVenture Children's Museum. Charlie was so excited because he was going to see George. The Curious George exhibit was on display. How perfect was that! The activities were hands on and lots of fun.

This is a video clip of Charlie's favorite exhibit. I wish I recorded longer because he loves watching it over and over again.

NAMI Walk

We had so much fun this weekend. Charlie, Hank, and I went with Marshall to Columbia, S.C. to participate in the NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Walk. We joined the Long's Drugs team on a three mile walk. It was a beautiful walk along the river. The highlight for Charlie was going under a bridge that a train was traveling over.

Motorcycle

"My motorcycle and helmet"

"No Hank"

Hank, "You think I am going to give up that easy? Let me try to charm him. If that doesn't work, I'll just scream."

Golf

Charlie LOVES to play golf. He overheard Rich say that he was going to the driving range to hit golf balls. We were all in the front yard playing, and Charlie gathered up his plastic golf club and two real golf balls and quietly followed Rich. It was so sweet. Rich told him he had to wait until he had real golf clubs.

The next day Rich bought Kensington and Charlie their own golf clubs. Charlie's are red and Kensington's pink. We all met at the driving range. Charlie had a blast. He used almost all of Rich's golf balls. Kensington had fun too, but she got tired of golf and started organizing the golf balls. She called them her babies. Rich told her that she had to let her babies go and took one and whacked it down the green. Charlie wanted to go retrieve the balls after he hit them. He quickly learned to go back to the bucket to get more balls. We are still working on keeping the clubs off of the concrete. Charlie picks all three up and holds them to his chest. He wants to carry all three and does not want any help. He went back to the driving range with Marshall, Rich, Ashley, and Pappy. This time they got a jumbo bucket, so everyone could hit some balls.

I told Charlie that we were going to the zoo this weekend, and he said, "No, I don't want to go to the zoo." I told him it was just like Curious George going to the zoo. He said, "No, I don't want to go to the zoo." I asked him if he wanted to play golf, and he said, "Yes, I play golf."

Hodges and Hank enjoy watching golf.

Bright Idea

We started the morning off by painting.

Everyone painted, and then, Charlie said, "I have an idea!"

Charlie told me that he wanted to hang beads on the light. We used pipe cleaners and wooden beads to make a fan pull.

This was just the beginning. Charlie started this project on Monday morning. Now it is Friday, and the fan pull is about five pipe cleaners long.

How Cool!

Hank has discovered the refrigerator. He was so proud of himself. Every time the door opened, Hank was instantly standing in the bottom.

He got the bottle he wanted. This made him so pleased and happy for a LONG time. It seems like it was just yesterday that Kensington and Charlie were climbing in the fridge and cabinets.

Inoko's

Charlie and Hank's first trip to a hibachi style restaurant. Charlie enjoyed the entertainment, salad, rice, sauce, steak, sauce, chicken, and sauce. Hank LOVED the zucchini.

Laurel and Brayden were brave enough to go out to a restaurant with all of us. Thanks so much! We had a great time.
You can't see it, but Charlie sees FIRE!

My cool crab!

Up, Up, Up!

"Crane is on my bridge."

"Good job! Lofty"

"Up, up, up! High as the sky."

Working hard on all levels.
