Hank was so excited that I was baking. He ran through the house saying, "cookie, cookie, brownie, brownie!" Hank and Gaga are ready for me to start baking cookies again. Maybe, I can when school starts back.
Substitution: We didn't have any cocoa in the pantry, so I substituted 4 blocks of semisweet Baker's chocolate.

EASY HOMEMADE BROWNIES | |
1/2 c. butter 6 tbsp. cocoa 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2/3 c. unsifted self rising flour 1/2 c. pecans Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Stir in sugar and cocoa, turn stove off. Add one egg and blend, then add the second egg and blend. Blend vanilla, add flour. Pour into greased 9" baking pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. |
