Charlie LOVES to play golf. He overheard Rich say that he was going to the driving range to hit golf balls. We were all in the front yard playing, and Charlie gathered up his plastic golf club and two real golf balls and quietly followed Rich. It was so sweet. Rich told him he had to wait until he had real golf clubs.
The next day Rich bought Kensington and Charlie their own golf clubs. Charlie's are red and Kensington's pink. We all met at the driving range. Charlie had a blast. He used almost all of Rich's golf balls. Kensington had fun too, but she got tired of golf and started organizing the golf balls. She called them her babies. Rich told her that she had to let her babies go and took one and whacked it down the green. Charlie wanted to go retrieve the balls after he hit them. He quickly learned to go back to the bucket to get more balls. We are still working on keeping the clubs off of the concrete. Charlie picks all three up and holds them to his chest. He wants to carry all three and does not want any help. He went back to the driving range with Marshall, Rich, Ashley, and Pappy. This time they got a jumbo bucket, so everyone could hit some balls.
I told Charlie that we were going to the zoo this weekend, and he said, "No, I don't want to go to the zoo." I told him it was just like Curious George going to the zoo. He said, "No, I don't want to go to the zoo." I asked him if he wanted to play golf, and he said, "Yes, I play golf."
