Working Hard!

Charlie earned two lollipops for using the potty today. I tried to get him to save one for later, but he insisted on eating them both at the same time. He worked very hard to get two lollipops.

Hank says this is an interesting toy that Charlie dropped on the floor.

Charlie said Hank could hold his paci while he had two lollipops.

C is for Crazy Week

"Mitzi, I listen to your heart."

C is for cereal.

C is for celery.

C is for curious.

This week we were going to work on the letter C, but we had so much excitement that we are going to have to try again next week. Mam-ma came to visit on Sunday and Monday. She brought Charlie and Hank basketball goals. Mam-ma took Charlie to the car to help her unload, and when he saw it, he said, " You bought MY basketball goal." Mam-ma didn't know that Charlie had been shopping with Gaga for a basketball goal for about three months. Every time Gaga took Charlie to the store, he picked out baseball or golf stuff. Charlie was so happy that he could hardly sleep. He took his basketball to bed with him and kept saying, " I have a basketball." Finally, Mamma put the ball on its own pillow, and Charlie went to sleep around midnight. When he woke up the next morning and came downstairs, he said, "Merry Christmas." Thank you for the basketball goals Mam-ma and Grandaddy.

Gaga came on Tuesday to bring Granny home. She spent the night and went with us to take Hank to the doctor. Hank could not get his six month shots because his ears are not clear. This was our third attempt to get shots. He will be getting tubes in the next couple of weeks.

Gaga treated us to lunch at Cracker Barrel. It was really fun until we went to leave. Charlie decided that he wanted candy, and he was in no mood to be reasonable. I said no candy. Gaga came around the corner and offered to get Charlie some candy, and in the same moment, he laid on the floor holding his bag of peppermint sticks, kicked his legs, and cried, "I want candy." I gave Hank to Gaga, scooped Charlie up, pried the candy out of his hand, and took him to the car. We were all ready for a nap when we got home.

We did do a little work with the letter C this week, but I don't think it was too productive.

Duck, Duck, Goose!

We had so much fun today. This morning when we woke up it was raining, so we couldn't go to the parade in town. We were going to go see a parade with soldiers from the Battle of Kettle Creek reenactment. After lunch, the rain stopped, and we rode to Athens to go see ducks at Memorial Park. We had some other running around to do too. We stopped at Fresh Air BBQ and picked up a picnic. It was so yummy. Charlie loved his BBQ sandwich and baked beans, and Hank couldn't get enough of the brunswick stew. Charlie took some leftover bread to feed to the ducks and geese. Enjoy the little video clip at the end of the post.

"B" is for bubbles, box, bottles, balloon, . . .

"B" is for bank.

The money says, "ch-ching."

I need more glue and letters.

Let's put my buttons in my bottle.

"B" is for butterfly, beads, and buttons.

"B" is for bubbles.

The bubbles were so much fun. We had to clean up the floor.

Hank is busy!

While we worked on the letter "B" this week, we used the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear. We took a box around town and went on a "B" hunt.

Ms. Shelley gave me a brush.

Mrs. Tracy gave me bottles.

Mr. Jeff gave me a balloon and bubble gum. Ms. Andie gave me a bow and a bag, and Ms. Sara gave me a bowl.

The lady at the bank gave me a brochure. Ms. Angie at Bee Southern gave me a heart shaped box. We really had fun. On Friday morning, I got up and lined up my bottles, rolled my soccer ball, and knocked them down. I call this game soccer bottles.

Hank is still busy!

Making and Sending Valentines

We have had so much fun this week working on the letter "B" and making, mailing, and delivering Valentine's. This post is about our Valentine's, and I will share our letter "B" adventures when we finish some projects.

We made beautiful red play dough for Charlie and Hank's cousins and friends. Charlie mixed the food coloring and water.

He washed and washed his hands, but they wouldn't come clean. Finally, they are back to normal at the end of the week.

The stickers were fun too! But Charlie couldn't decide if he liked putting the stickers on the envelope or peeling them off better. This is why only a few of you have stickers on your envelopes.

OOOOOO! What's this?

Charlie loved the tape dispenser!

Leaving Trey and Carter a surprise. They are going to be so happy when they get home!

After all of this work, a boy really needs a nap.
